" S H E F "
Salaam!!!!!!!! Meet a dear friend of mine.....Shef I have known Shef now for
two years and we have become pretty good friends. He is originally from Pakistan but now lives with his beautiful wife and three children in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.)
Shef works for the Airlines there in U.A.E. In his country they work on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and his weekend is considered Friday. With his job in the airlines he gets to go all over the world to places like China, Africa and even the United States :) He has family here in the states and visits them once a year.
One of many languages spoken in his country is urdu. I have learned several things in his language and enjoy it alot. When we first meet online one of my favorite sayings is "kia hal hey?" meaning....how are you? I know they have "rolling of the tongue" with some of their words so the language I have learned is a little bit different than his lol. Tb's language????? I have a heck of a time rolling my tongue and saying words at the same time lol. Ok .......no comments!!!!!!
I haven't met Shef in person yet but do hope some day we meet. He has invited me to Pakistan but ..................... I can't swim that far! lol If you ever run into Shef on IRC just say "salaam my dost!" (((((((((((((((shef)))))))))))
Shukriya :)
2002 update: Shef and I continue to be good friends. Since we met 6 years ago, Shef has now moved closer. Last year Shef moved his family to Canada where he has other family. Nice to have him closer and away from dangerous grounds. Welcome to America/Canada Shef, nice to have you here:) :) Read below a note from Shef.
A NOTE FROM SHEF TO TB:
"I'd like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me."
"I'd like to be the help, that you've been always glad to be"
"I'd like to mean as much to you, each minute of the day,"
"as you have meant, old friend of mine, to me along the way."
Reply from Tb...Shukriya my dost :) True friendship never dies.....you have proven that.
